Thus, we first examined LC3B, Beclin1, and SQSTM1 levels in patients with PCOS and found that compared with the normal group, the patients with PCOS showed an increased LC3-II/LC3-I ratio and Beclin1 levels and decreased SQSTM1 levels in GCs (Fig. 3A, B), suggesting that autophagy was activated in the GCs of patients with PCOS. This evidence concerns the gene MAP1LC3B and polycystic ovary syndrome.
