MAPT and Dravet syndrome: Our group has been actively involved in large scale PET imaging studies in the DS adult population to measure amyloid and tau burden related to AD in the brain47–49, highlighting the importance of obtaining AD-related neuroimaging biomarkers in individuals with DS and motivating their inclusion in investigations for understanding co-occurring illnesses across their lifespan (https://www.nia.nih.gov/research/abc-ds).
