Analysis of publicly available RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq) datasets of primary AML samples revealed an increase in the expression of genes involved in oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) in DNMT3AR882-mutated patient samples, but not DNMT3Anon-R882-mutated samples, compared with DNMT3A WT samples (Extended Data Fig. 1a). The gene discussed is DNMT3A; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
