Participants in the higher ZJU index group were more likely to be female and have higher BMI, SBP, DBP, liver enzymes (including ALP, GGT, ALT, AST), BUN, Cr, UA, GLU, TC, TG, LDL and higher NAFLD risk, but lower levels of DBIL and HDL-C than those in the lower ZJU index groups (all P<0.001). This evidence concerns the gene GPT and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
