Sakaguchi et al. showed that in colorectal cancer, there are two subpopulations of Foxp3 + TILs, one of which is characterized by low Foxp3 expression and the inability to inhibit antitumor immunity, and the other by a high Foxp3-expressing population with the ability to inhibit antitumor immunity [23]. Here, FOXP3 is linked to colorectal cancer.
