CD8A and neoplasm: Each of these mouse models led the authors to six major conclusions: IRE contributed to local tumor regression and a systemic antitumor immune response, IRE increased CD8 + T cell infiltration in tumor tissue and the spleen, IRE induced long-lasting immunity with a dependence on CD8 + T cells to prevent regrowth and metastasis, IRE played a major role within the systemic immunosuppressive environment, and IRE led to necrosis and the release of DAMPs.
