CRP and metabolic syndrome: A crossover RCT conducted on 60 postmenopausal women stratified based on the metabolic syndrome status and following a soy nut enriched diet for 8 weeks or control diet, reported significant reductions in diastolic BP (p = 0.02), TG (p = 0.02), C-reactive protein (CRP) (p = 0.01) and sICAM (p = 0.03) among women with MetS following soy-enriched diet, However, changes were observed only among equol-producers compared to control diet, but not among equol-non-producers.
