As a proof of concept of the possible implication of SARS-CoV-2 infection in coagulopathies, we evaluated the plasmatic levels of the anticoagulant factor PROS1 in correlation to infection status [22], showing lower levels in SARS-CoV-2 positive swab test patients in comparison with SARS-CoV-2 negative swab test patients, in line with previous results [11]. Here, PROS1 is linked to blood coagulation disease.
