As shown in Figure 5B, CA is mainly used to treat hyperlipidemia and thrombosis by regulating cancer, estrogen signaling, chemical carcinogenesis-receptor activation, and AGE–RAGE signaling pathways in diabetic complications, etc. Notably, major targets, such as NFKB1, RELA, MMP9, and PRKACA, were enriched in the above pathways, which suggests possible important roles in therapy. This evidence concerns the gene MMP9 and hyperlipidemia.
