It has been adequately proven that blood markers such as high-sensitivity troponin, fibrinogen, blood glucose, C-reactive protein, lactate dehydrogenase, albumin, and ferritin can predict lethal outcomes in patients with COVID-19, and that high lactate dehydrogenase accumulation itself is a potential predictor of disease severity [39,40,41,42]. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and COVID-19.
