Importantly, this difference in genotype turned out to be irrelevant for our study because the CD276 expression by GSCs in this case was as strong or stronger as in the other, non-IDH1 mutated tumours suggesting that CD276 expression by malignant glioma cells is a fundamental characteristic of these tumours that dominates the effect of an IDH1 mutation.
