It is also worth noting that for the first time according to our knowledge, CD276 expression was shown to occur in the typical perineuronal satellite glioma cells (a classical secondary structure according to Scherer) confirming the identity of the CD276 immunoreactive cells as malignant glioma cells/GSCs and emphasizing the importance of the immune checkpoint-marker, CD276, for the biology of diffuse malignant glioma (Figure 2).
