MYCN and neoplasm: Key prognostic indicators have already been identified, including MYCN gene amplification, segmental chromosomal abnormalities (gain of chromosome 17q and hemizygous deletions of chromosomes 1p and 11q), age at diagnosis and tumour histology [3,4,5], with undifferentiated or poorly differentiated tumours associated with poor prognosis, and those with differentiated features associated with increased survival [1,6].
