Relatlimab, a LAG3 checkpoint inhibitor, has already been approved by the FDA for the treatment of advanced melanoma and multiple phase I and II clinical trials are underway to examine the survival benefits of LAG3-inhibitors both as monotherapy and in combination with PD-1 inhibitors within the context of HNSCC and other solid tumors [25,109].
