PIEZO1 and breast carcinoma: Chen et al. [41] and Xu et al. [35] reported that high PIEZO1 correlated with worse survival outcomes in many breast cancer subtypes, but better outcomes in basal-like breast cancer, while our results demonstrate that the worse outcomes associated with high PIEZO1 are primarily in the HR-negative and TNBC subtypes; this highlights the ambiguity of PIEZO1 on survival outcomes amongst breast cancer subtypes.
