In an anti-cardiac hypertrophy study, researchers demonstrated that tamarixetin effectively alleviated cardiac hypertrophy and ventricular dilatation in transverse aortic constriction (TAC) mice; a series of echocardiography parameters were improved, and hypertrophy markers, such as atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), and myosin heavy chain 7 (Myh7) were significantly reduced [69]. This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and cardiac hypertrophy.
