Recently, it has been shown that a formulation including Ang-(1-7) in hydroxypropyl β-cyclodextrin produced an improvement in diastolic and systolic functions and reduced the expression of fibrosis scar markers (TGF-β and type I collagen) in a rat model of myocardial infarction induced by left coronary artery occlusion [91].
