The rise in GSH and glutathione S-transferase P1 (GSTP1) activity, i.e., an enzyme catalyzing the conjugation of GSH to reactive electrophilic compounds, is also noticed during chemotherapy [46] and contributes to reduced cytotoxic effectiveness of cisplatin or carboplatin in human ovarian cancer cell lines [49] and in patients with HGSOC [50]. Here, GSTP1 is linked to ovarian cancer.
