NLRP3 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease: The specific mechanisms by which CBD reduces hepatic fat accumulation remain unclear; however, this study suggests that the activation of NLR family pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome occurs in MASLD, and CBD inhibits the nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB) activation, thereby suppressing the activation of macrophage NLRP3 inflammatory bodies, preventing the development of MASLD [13,14].
