For the endpoint of CHD, HDL-C, HDL-P, medium HDL, HDL size, and H4P showed inverse associations with CHD in analyses adjusted for age, sex, smoking status, history of diabetes, SBP, total cholesterol, triglycerides, BMI, glucose, eGFR and hsCRP, albumin, GGT, and ALT: HRs (95% CIs) of 0.70 (0.58–0.85), 0.86 (0.74–0.99), 0.82 (0.69–0.96), 0.78 (0.64–0.94), and 0.81 (0.68–0.97), respectively, per 1 SD increase in these parameters (Table 4).
