Our work demonstrated that variants rs34637584 G/A and rs34637584 A/A (LRRK2 G2019S) were the primary genetic factors elevating urinary BMP levels in the PD cohort compared to healthy controls; on the contrary, variants rs76763715 T/C and rs76763715 C/C (GBA1 N370S) mainly decreased the levels in the prodromal cohort compared to rs76763715 T/T. Here, LRRK2 is linked to Parkinson disease.
