Since the esBAF complex only contains SMARCC1 in the mESCs and mouse F9 embryonic carcinoma cells [131,132,133,134], siRNA-mediated silencing of LSD1 led to the proteolysis of SMARCC1 and loss of self-renewal and pluripotency of mESCs or F9 cells, along with the disassembly of the esBAF complex and the loss of other esBAF proteins such as BRG1, ARID1A, and PBRM1 [127]. The gene discussed is KDM1A; the disease is embryonal carcinoma.
