In HCC patients, high AURKB expression was strongly correlated with poorer overall survival (OS) (p < 0.05) (Figure 5A), disease-specific survival (DSS) (p < 0.05) (Figure 5B), and progression-free interval (PFI) (p < 0.05) (Figure 5C), as compared to HCC patients with low AURKB expression, according to the Kaplan–Meier survival analysis. This evidence concerns the gene AURKB and hepatocellular carcinoma.
