LPS is originally derived from the extracellular infection by the Gram-negative bacteria and then enters the cells via Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)-mediated endocytosis, the cell surface receptor for advanced glycation end-product (RAGE)-mediated endocytosis, or bacterial outer membrane vesicle (OMV)-mediated internalization [3].
