LGALS3BP is a secreted multifunctional glycoprotein closely related to cancer [5], and changes in cellular pathways may be achieved through alterations in protein glycosylation, such as proliferation signaling, cell death resistance, growth inhibition evasion, angiogenesis, genome instability and mutation, invasion and metastasis, immune evasion and protumor inflammation [6, 7]. This evidence concerns the gene LGALS3BP and cancer.
