NLRP3-inflammasome activation has been shown to be toxic in AD, PD, HD, and ALS models, and several of them suggest that NLRP3 inhibition could exert neuroprotective effects in these NDs (Deora et al. 2020; Hanslik and Ulland 2020; Haque et al. 2020; Chen et al. 2022).
