Two meta-analysis studies also focus on the relationship between HLA-DQB1 and hepatitis B. They report that DRB1*13:01 and DQB1*06:02 expression can corelate with the antibody response to hepatitis B vaccine, showing high specificity but low sensitivity [37], and that DQB1*03 and HLA-DQB1*0602 have protective effects for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), whereas HLA-DQB1*02 and HLA-DQB1*05:02 have a higher risk for HCC occurrence [38].
