The reported data comparing histopathologic and immune profiles of classical vitiligo and ICI-induced VLLs revealed that, although both present partial or complete loss of melanocytes, infiltrates of T cells (usually absent in classical vitiligo) were found in ICI-induced VLLs [34,44], as well as higher proportion of produced interferon-γ (IFNγ) and TNFα, suggesting differences in CD8+ T cell modulation [45]. The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is vitiligo.
