EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma: In fact, in the phase III randomized trial named ADAURA, osimertinib administered for 3 years after surgery with or without previous adjuvant chemotherapy and compared with placebo, provided a statistically significant advantage of a relevant magnitude in terms of disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) as adjuvant treatment for patients with resected stage IB-IIIA EGFR-mutated NSCLC [8,9,10].
