Therefore, we analyzed whether β-catenin and YAP form complexes in melanoma cells and whether these complexes can interact with different transcription factors, such as paired box gene 3 (PAX3), T-box transcription Factor 5 (TBX5), TCF/LEF1 or TEAD, causing a switch from senescence-stabilized target genes to tumor-supportive target genes (Fig. 5B).
