Clinical trials using sacubitril-valsartan (ARNI) and sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2) have demonstrated a consistent reduction in ventricular arrhythmias and SCD due to their anti-arrhythmic properties in addition to their ability to improve LVEF, thus reducing the eligibility for ICD implantation based on LVEF ≤35% (151–154). The gene discussed is SLC5A2; the disease is Schnyder corneal dystrophy.
