In 2020, FDA has approved the combination of Ipilimumab and Nivolumab, along with two cycles of platinum-based dual chemotherapy, as a first-line treatment for patients with metastatic or recurrent non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that do not have epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) or anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) genomic tumor aberrations (57). Here, EGFR is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
