PLA2G7 and cardiovascular disorder: Studies have shown that peripheral lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)) is an important influential factor in the development of cardiovascular disease, and monocytes and macrophages produce lipoprotein‐associated phospholipase A2 (Lp‐PLA2), and studies have also confirmed the close relationship between Lp‐PLA2 and atherosclerosis (Bittner et al., 2020; Najjar et al., 2018; Reyes‐Soffer & Westerterp, 2021).
