It was found that the expression levels of TLR4, NF-κB, p65, and p-IκBα were significantly downregulated in CRC cells after baicalin treatment, and the inhibitory effect was diminished after the use of TLR4 activator, indicating that baicalin could lead to impairment of TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway and thus inhibit the migration and invasion of CRC cells (Song et al., 2022). This evidence concerns the gene NFKBIA and colorectal carcinoma.
