Recent research has established that miR-34c-5p alleviates the genesis and progression of femoral head osteonecrosis by mediating the MDMX/p53 pathway (Yang, et al. 2022) and inhibiting pulmonary fibrosis via p53 and PTEN/PI3K/Akt signaling pathways by targeting Fos-related antigen 1 (Fra-1) (Pang, et al. 2022). The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is familial avascular necrosis of femoral head.
