We used the GEPIA website to investigate the expression of PRNP mRNA in thirty-three different cancers, and found that it was highly expressed in five kinds of cancers (lymphoid neoplasm diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, esophageal cancer, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, pancreatic adenocarcinoma and thymoma) compared with adjacent cancer tissues. Here, PRNP is linked to cancer.
