GPX4 and hereditary clear cell renal cell carcinoma: Although Li et al. demonstrated elevated levels of GPX4 protein in tumor tissues of gastric and colon cancer compared to adjacent normal mucosa tissues [22], and Lu et al. showed that GPX4 inhibition can suppress cell migration and invasion in renal cell carcinoma [26], it is currently unknown whether GPX4 expression correlates with prognosis of GC patients.
