In view of a potential role of TGFBI in platinum-based therapy revealed by the Evaluation of drug sensitivity (Fig. 4a), TGFBI expression level was examined in cisplatin-resistant ovarian cancer cell line A2780/CDDP and cisplatin-sensitive ovarian cancer cell line A2780 (as showed in Fig. 4b, IC50 for A2780 was 119.2 μM, IC50 for A2780/CDDP was 258.8 μM), the results showed that TGFBI was elevated at both mRNA and protein levels in A2780/CDDP cells (Fig. 4c). This evidence concerns the gene TGFBI and ovarian cancer.
