Several studies have reported that systemic inflammatory markers, such as neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), C-reactive protein/albumin (CRP/Alb) ratio, systemic immune inflammation index (SII) and modified systemic inflammation score (mSIS) have unique prognostic roles in gastric cancer and are of certain value in predicting the clinical prognosis of GC [20–25]. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and gastric cancer.
