Liu et al. (2015) reported that chronic fluoxetine treatment attenuated the CUMS-induced mTOR phosphorylation reduction in the hippocampus and amygdala of mice, but not in the frontal cortex or the hypothalamus, indicating that fluoxetine regulated mTOR signaling in a region-dependent manner in depression-like mice (Liu et al., 2015). Here, MTOR is linked to major depressive disorder.
