After stratifying the patients by age, gender, MYCN amplification status and tumor stage, the correlations between high CDKN3 expression and poor patient survival were consistently observed in most of the stratified subgroups, although some of the correlations did not reach statistical significance; the statistical insignificance in some subgroups is most likely due to the decreased sample sizes when the patients are divided into subgroups. The gene discussed is CDKN3; the disease is neoplasm.
