Since the expression of SET and ZBTB11 was elevated in lung tumors, especially in distal metastasized lung tumors where SET and ZBTB11 exhibited a strong positive correlation in terms of their expression and contributed to a poor prognosis (Fig. 9a–f), we speculated that tumor progression may represent one of the selective pressures to promote SET-ZBTB11 complex formation. This evidence concerns the gene SET and neoplasm.
