Similarly, we explored the correlation of FGF2 levels with known prognostic clinical markers of HF, such as N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) concentration and cardiac function parameters (left ventricular ejection fraction [LVEF]), to determine the ability of FGF2 expression level to indicate HF severity. This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and hydrops fetalis.
