PANK4 and glioblastoma: Intriguingly, the DUF89 domain was reported to confer to the protein its unique features as damage‐control phosphatase, being responsible for clearing the cells from unwanted normal or damaged metabolites that can build up to toxic levels under certain conditions.[17] Our data suggest that PANK4 modulates chemosensitivity of TMZ‐resistant GBM cells to TMZ in a phosphatase‐dependent manner.
