As shown in Figure 4, a network of interactions between proteins TUBB2B, MAPK7, TUBAL3, MAP2K5, and GJA1 (Cx43) suggests that reduced expression of MAPK and tubulin genes could be responsible for the attenuation of the gap junction pathway and insensitivity of lung cancer cells to cisplatin. This evidence concerns the gene MAP2K5 and lung cancer.
