Gypenoside XLIX, a type of dammarane-type saponins that have diverse biological properties, including anti-inflammatory, antithrombotic, anticancer, hepatoprotection, and neuroprotective effects, markedly suppressed the levels of IGFBP7 and reduced the binding of IGFBP7 to IGF1 receptor in an acute kidney injury model, and showed great potential in releasing senescence. Here, IGFBP7 is linked to acute kidney injury.
