The monoclonal antibodies that have been investigated and approved in many countries for CRSwNP primarily targeting type 2 pathways and namely: interleukin-4 (IL-4)/interleukin-13 (IL-13) path inhibiting the IL-4 receptor alpha (using dupilumab), blocking IL-5 (using mepolizumab or Benralizumab), and neutralizing immunoglobulin E (IgE) through omalizumab [8–13]. Here, IL4 is linked to chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps.
