Covariates independently associated with lower odds of inpatient mortality were a past medical history of renal stones (OR: 0.30; 95% CI 0.12–0.75), higher CKD stage, angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor or angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) use (OR: 0.68; 95% CI 0.58–0.79), and aminoglycosides (OR: 0.55; 95% CI 0.45–0.68). Here, ACE is linked to chronic kidney disease.
