In conclusion, this study indicates that hyperglycemia induces the overexpression of cdc42 and overactivation of the downstream effector N-WASP/Arp2/3 signaling to promote the polymerization of G-actin into F-actin, which is located at the edge of the cell, resulting in increased stiffness of cytoskeleton, destruction of the polarity and reduction in the migration of HUVECs. The gene discussed is WASL; the disease is Hyperglycemia.
