MERTK and obsessive-compulsive disorder: In this regard, MerTK expression is broadly abnormal in a large variety of CNS disorders including adrenoleukodystrophy, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), alcohol dependence, Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's disease, major depressive disorder, neuroblastoma, obsessive compulsive disorder, schizoaffective disorder, and schizophrenia (Fig. 3H).
