In 2022, Mandel-Brehm et al. reported the presence of antibodies against zinc finger and SCAN domain-containing 1 (ZSCAN1) in the serum and tumor samples of a patient with a neuroendocrine tumor (NET) and ROHHAD syndrome (ROHHAD-NET) [10]. This evidence concerns the gene ZSCAN1 and rapid-onset childhood obesity-hypothalamic dysfunction-hypoventilation-autonomic dysregulation syndrome.
